Motor burned out in a year

Good looking fan- initially a little noisy

Initially a little noisy, but after running it for awhile and reversing it several times, noise disappeared and fan smoothed out. Perhaps it was a bearing in the motor that wasn't fully seated. At any rate, looks great and runs great now.

This is the second time I've purchased this fan. What I like most is the air flow. I have 12' ceilings in my bedroom, but I can still feel the cool air while lying in bed. Plus, it is quiet and doesn't disturb my sleep.

Great, but not perfect.

Great fan! Out of the box, it is perfectly balanced so there is no wobble. Very quiet and move a ton of air efficiently. I love the look overall, but I can't give it a perfect 5 stars. That's only because the blades are plastic, painted to look like wood. They did a pretty good job but you can tell once you install it, it is not as classy as real wood would be. Then again, real wood would double the cost and wouldn't be balanced....you get what you pay for.

Do Not Buy Possini Fans - Read my experience

In March of 2021 I purchased 5 Possini Defender Fans (3-70' and 2-60") for my newly built home. Love the styling and look of these fans! However, within the first year of operation, they have slowly started to fail one by one. First one failed after two months of operation! The fan will be running with no issues and then randomly shutter and slow down and make a grinding noise like it is fighting itself to go forward and reverse all at once. After about 30 seconds of trying it just stops, and every time you try and select a speed it does the same and becomes useless. Lamps Plus was very quick to send out an entire motor assembly and I just replaced the driver to see if that was the problem and it was. Well over the course of the next 12 months slowly but surely the same issue happened to EVERY fan. Driver (Receiving unit that tells the fan what to do based on your remote input) would fail, and render the fan useless. Here I am 15 months after spending $3000 on fans with two non-working fans and nothing to replace them with, and 3 other fans that are bound to fail here shortly. Lamps Plus has done everything they can to help but honestly, they just need to stop carrying this product. it is trash in my opinion. I work in the trades if that's worth anything, I am not just some home owner trying to complain. I have done everything in my power to try and fix them but it is out of my hands. I JUST WANT WORKING CEILING FANS!
