The Aries floor lamp provides efficient ambient lighting for an entire room in a slim design. Simplicity shines in this look with a matte black finish and a tapered frosted plastic shade. An Adesso patented 300 Watt Double Socket construction allows for two crisscrossed sockets, each holding on/off 150 Watt incandescent or LED bulbs which provides approximately 3 times more light than a typical torchiere. A simple high/low rotary switch is located on the pole to adjust the brightness. This lamp has a black cord and is smart outlet compatible. Bulbs are not included. The three-way switch adjusts the light from low setting, high setting to off position. Use incandescent bulbs up to 150W or dimmable led bulbs (DO NOT USE: 3-way bulbs or CFL's)

Not up to Macy's standards

Was delivered broken. Lamp stood slanted. Shade is made of cheap looking plastic.

Poorly made

while trying to assemble...noticed for the connecting poles....2 of them failed to have thread slots inside pole...unable to connect & complete

Good lamp for the price

I have bought two of these lamps from Macys.com and they have served me well. The only difficulty I have had is in needing to special order the lightbulbs for it because it requires two, 150-watt bulbs, not easily found. The assembly was fairly easy- at least the second time around. The first lamp came a little bit bent as the metal didn't meet in all the right places, but I did not have that issue with the second lamp. It has two settings and I find it lights the room quite nicely. A word of caution: the packaging is awful and you will have bits of foam and pieces of boxes everywhere. So be prepared for a big clean up after you've assembled.

Love these, I own 5 lamps

I love this simple stylish and quality lamp. I live in an older home with no ceiling lights and these lamps are just perfect. I purchased one for every room.

Do not buy this cheap lamp... Poor finish

Cheap finish on lamp. Near the on off switch there is an area 3 inches long that has rust spots. Yes! Rust spots. Looks like lamp was in someones garage for a few years. I gave it one star cause you have to at least select one to submit. Returning this lamp.

Simple design

I have a small apartment and needed a simple lamp. Lots to choose from. The lamp blends well with my decor.
