Just enough sparkle

I like it. Somewhere along the line, I decided that I simply don't wear dresses. This is a lovely way to dress up a pair of nice pants. I wore the jacket with a silky black tank top under it when attending a semi formal event and didn't feel underdressed at all.

Jacket needs liner to be perfect

Love Alex evenings tops, but they need to design more like this with bling and no glitter. Also need to stop the see through jackets especially in the arms. As for this elegant top, mine needs more appliqués along front shoulder edges where you see just skin. Jacket really just needs a thin liner in front. The jacket fabric catches the sequin appliqués on inner top front. Again, a thin black liner would make this perfect. Thought of adding one myself because I really like the fit otherwise. The bottom has some peplum gathers which may not be flattering for everyone. It would be a great addition for my cruise formal nights if I could just add a black liner in front. I normally wear 18, XL or 1X in tops, but Alex tops often run small. Glad I ordered the 1X.
