Permanent spot on my bookshelves

Surprisingly I did not read this classic when I was a child, but I have seen and loved the movies. With many book-to-movie adaptations, there is usually a sense of disappointment that the movie wasn’t up to par with the book. I was pleasantly surprised that this was not the case here. The movie was very true to the book with a few minor exceptions. This is a book that has a permanent spot on my bookshelves.

I really recommend getting this edition

This was the first copy of Anne of Green Gables I ever got. When my mom picked it out I complained the whole time (I was 10 or 11) until she threatened to not get any books. It took me a couple years to actually read it but when I did I sure was glad my mother got this edition. I lost my copy about 2 or 3 years ago so I was glad when I was able to find this link. The aesthetic of the copy is what kept Anne fresh in my mind in the 6 or 7 years since I got this book.
