lovely!

This is a gorgeous, well-put-together cookbook, filled with delicious-sounding recipes and beautiful photographs. It leans a little toward the foodie side for my budget and tastes, but I love how adventurous it is in combining flavors! There are quite a few recipes I can't wait to try, like the ginger-curry glazed carrots! If you're a foodie, or have a foodie on your gift list, this will make a lovely addition to anyone's cookbook shelf! #NetGalley

Yuk

I have to say this book is no where as good as his first one which I liked. How many normal people would make these dishes and some are unappetizing. Don't waste your money

Another Great Cookbook from Antoni

Having read the Antoni's first cookbook, Antoni in the Kitchen, I was excited to see that he had a new one coming out. I am a fan of cookbooks. I love looking at and reading cookbooks and recipe magazines. At least once a week in my house dinner is compliments of a new recipe I've found. This is not to say I'm some fabulous cook, but I can follow a recipe. What I loved about this cookbook is that it is a work of art! The photos are gorgeous! The descriptions are helpful, personal, and sometimes humorous. The food is a little gourmet for my tastes, though if someone else made it and put it in front of me I wouldn't push it away. There are a number of fairly fancy ingredients that I'm not going to find at my neighborhood Safeway which is often the first thing to turn me off of a recipe. I don't enjoy grocery shopping and less so if I have to hunt down an ingredient. Though there were a few recipes that I'm looking forward to giving a whirl. Sheet Pan Chicken with Rosemary & Grapes: who doesn't love a sheet pan dinner? I have never made Coq au Vin because I don't like red wine, but the recipe for Coq au Riesling has me excited to finally try this classic dish! Vietnamese Chicken and Rice Noodle Salad: I'm a sucker for anything with fish sauce. Also making the list are the Best D*mn Nachos, Turkey Cheeseburger Soup, Oatmeal Pancakes with Apples & Bacon, and the Sweet Chili Brussel Sprouts with Chorizo. Thank you to Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and #NetGalley for allowing me the pleasure of drooling over this cookbook in exchange for an honest review.

Beautiful and Mouth-watering Dishes!

Antoni Porowski gives 80 of his favorite workweek recipes to keep you fed and organized during the week. I’ll admit that I originally picked this book up since I’m a fan of the Fab 5, and of course Antoni. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Antoni created recipes that were both beautiful, but very practical as well. Each page of this full-color book was filled with kitchen photos, inspirational thoughts, Antoni in mid-work, or with photos of the gorgeous dishes. The book itself was written to be practical and to make meal planning easy. In the front he even lists a couple dozen ingredients to have on-hand to make any of the dishes quickly. And the meals themselves seemed easy for the non-gourmet to cook, but would also appeal to a reader with more cooking experience. The dishes were mouth-watering on the page as well—I am craving his spinach salad and his Crispy Pork and Egg Rice Bowl. The way the dishes are displayed make it easy to make a good meal,, but can also be presented in a way that is pleasing to the eye (or to impress a guest who may stop by for dinner). I have dinner planned for next week!

Beautiful, easy recipes

I’ll be honest I didn’t know who Antoni before this book. I didn’t go in expecting anything but wow this book delivers! Antoni takes recipes we know and flips the switch on them. Yes the classics are classics for a reason but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun with them. And Antoni does just that. Most recipes are very quick and easy to follow. Antoni shows beautiful, tasty food doesn’t have to be super complicated. The pictures are gorgeous all throughout the book. While I still don’t really know Antoni, I do know he knows what he is talking about in the kitchen. And for this mom that loves to cook, that’s enough for me.

Dinner with Antoni

I love Antoni from "Queer Eye." He seems like a great guy on the show and has such a happy and fun personality. All of it is on display in his new cookbook which shows you how to make dinner easily and in a healthy way.
