Good fit and support

Fit was great right out of the box. I've only had them a few weeks, but so far they feel great and my knees have appreciated the new shoes. I'm an older walker/runner, so I really need good support in the arch and cushion in the heel. Enough shoelace but not too much. (The previous pair had really short laces, I have to have enough to allow for a bump on one foot.) Toe box is also good. Considering getting a second pair just to have for when these wear down, I put a fair number of miles on them and hate the way you can never get the same pair twice.

Gel-Contend 8 is super

I really love the support in the shoes as well as the variety of colors to choose from. My foot pain from plantar fasciitis is pretty much gone and what a difference these shoes make when I walk.

Non removable insole

I love ASICS bc they fit my feet well, however was disappointed that the sole was not removable. I use a thin orthotic in my athletic shoes that fits best when the insole is removed. While it still can be used it sits a little higher than I like, but hope it works for some touring we will do in the spring.
