Great addition

The ZenDrive has been a great addition to my Asus products.

Can play DVDs for my Mac mini.

Will at least play back DVDs on my Mac mini with Sonoma OS, but could be better. Seems like the driver needs updating for it to be 100% compatible with latest Sonoma 14. Haven’t tried recording a disc with it yet.

Read the Manual first, then no problem with Macs.

At first my Mac Mini M1 did not seem to find the ZenDrive U9M or read my audio CD, but I had my CD in label down, like in my previous reader. I looked up the manual online, which said to put in CDs lable up. *Then* my Mac Mini found the ZenDrive and automatically opened the audio file! So Mac OS is compatable with ZenDrive after all.

WORKS JUST FINE w/my Mac mini on Mac OS 14.1.1

Having had to return an LG external BR because it wouldn't work w/my Mac mini, I thought that I'd give this Asus a try. Woohoo! It works! Yes, this model doesn't do BR, but it works! Thanks Asus for keeping the Mac user in mind, and enabling this to work with Apple Silicon. Woohoo!
