Useless for reading storage discs. Every disc you put in, it immediately reformats thereby erasing everything on it. I put a new disc in, which it reformatted. I transferred some files to it and removed the disc. I reinserted the same disc and it immediately went to reformatting.

Can’t get it to work on my Mac
This drive isn’t recognized by my Mac and there are no support documents that have helped.

Poor instructions.
I found that there are no instructions, which I found very frustrating. Only directions are to plug it in. My laptop is new with the latest version of Windows 11. I plugged in the drive and nothing happened?

Compact, mobile and light
Great little DVD/CD Drive, I use it with a NUC 11Pro and Microsoft Surface Pro, works great and the attached cable you can't beat it and can't lose it!

Did NOT work on my Mac!
Did not work on my Mac Air. Apple Support could not help. ASUS support referred me to their next level of support and sent a form for me to fill out. My email had multiple warnings recommending I not open the attachment. I did take a look at it, and it was asking for info I could have never figured out. Even though the box declares it works with Mac OS, it did not.

Poor "C" connection
Didn't work after first attaching to the computer. Had to replace the "C" connection with a USB connection. :(
