GORGEOUS- but beware

I really love the Constance pattern, but there have been significant issues with the quality of the products. I don't know if this is an issue with QA at Bloomingdale's or at Bernardaud itself, but a few of each of the items I registered for had one of the following: issues with the glaze (thumbprints or major blips), scratched gold, or the emblem in the center of the dish was off center (most commonly by 1/4", but had two cases where it was off by a full inch). The cups I received just had issues with the glaze or gold. But also they have been very delayed. My first set of cups took over 4 months to receive. The final set was purchased 1 month before my wedding in June and I am still waiting on them on backorder. I returned the damaged pieces and have just been exchanging until they come out right because the pattern is so unique and beautiful. For the cost of the items they really should be perfect. Many of the items I received were much more indicative of "seconds" quality. My mother wants me to return them altogether because there is no indication that they (especially the gold after receiving them with scratches) would hold up over time. The Bloomingdale's store representatives have been helpful in exchanging. We also contacted Bernardaud, but have had no response or comment from the company.
