Blade mechanism breaks within a month

Spinning blades quit engaging. Not like the previous B & D models. Ordered because the jar is made of glass and not plastic. Disappointing. Held off opening and using it because it was an upcoming birthday gift for my husband. Now I am past being able to make a return. Don't waste your money on this one.
