Briggs & Riley offers top-tier luggage built to last. I’ve been using their Essential 22” Carry-On, their sympatico large luggage and work backpacks i can say they are the best and it’s easily the most durable, well-designed bag I’ve owned. The CX™ expansion system is incredibly useful, and the lifetime guarantee—even covering airline damage—is unmatched. It’s a bit heavier than some brands, but the quality makes up for it. Worth the investment if you travel often.

Liked it so much, I purchased a second!

I purchased this item to replace an aging bag with wheels that gave out. Did a little research and found that Briggs & Riley had good reviews in this area. The reviews were spot on. The bag rolls with virtually no effort. This combined with price point lured me away from Tumi. Purchased a second bag for an extended sea excursion.

First Impression Not So Hot

If first impressions were important, which they are, our first trip with the new suitcases and backpacks we purchase tells me we made a poor choice on the higher end nice luggage we wanted to end up with. The zippers on all four suitcases are awkward to use and do not zip smoothly. Of all things you'd want to work well on a suitcase, the zippers to open and close it should be easy to perfect. . . but not for B&R. As a matter of fact, both zipper handles on the Essential 22" Carry-On for the battery broke off. . . on the first trip. Not very sturdy, huh?? Rubberized trim near the zippers I assume made for protection was peeling off from scuffs on the Large Expandable Spinner. Again. . . these are supposed to be sturdy enough suitcases for airport travel, right?? Or did I pay significant money for suitcases that are only supposed to go in my trunk for a road trip. Had I had a chance to use these once and then decide, they'd be going back to the manufacturer. Guess we'll see what second impressions are in our next trip. Can't return these now because they are 'used'. Will have to rely on the warranty to fix zippers after first trip. . . WOW!!!
