Comfy, but not the best for Hot Sleepers

I had been sleeping on a memory foam mattress, but upgraded to a queen sized bed frame and needed a new mattress. I liked my foam mattress since I finally wasnt sweating through the night (very rare for me), but the foam was wearing down and giving me back pain. I came across the Helix after some research for a mattress that was good for side sleepers, would last, and for a hot sleeper. It had the majority popular vote across so many platforms, reddit, etc. so I wanted to give it a shot. As for comfort- it definitely gave me so much more support than my old mattress while still being so soft and it finally got rid of my back pain! Big plus for someone who spends over 8 hrs working in an office chair. I did add the additional cooling topper as well just to be safe. But I didn't realize they sew the topper on to the mattress itself. Which is kinda nice because you don't have to worry about it shifting under your sheets, but it definitely made me question if they forgot to ship me the topper. However, I'm still sleeping hot throughout the night. So the topper ended up being kinda useless anyways. It probably would have been better to skip the topper and buy a better one for the price you pay extra.
