The Sunset Luxe is Helix's premium soft memory foam mattress designed with excellent contouring and pressure relief for your hips and shoulders. This mattress includes a plush pillow top, 3 layers of high-density foam, and individually wrapped steel coils with zoned lumbar support and a fully reinforced perimeter. The Sunset Luxe offers a cool, breathable feel on the surface of the mattress. It features multiple layers of high-quality memory foam designed for comforting pressure relief for your hips and shoulders. Below the foam are more than a thousand individually wrapped durable steel coils to promote spinal alignment and to help relieve back pain. The Sunset Luxe includes upgrades like a plush pillow top, an extra foam comfort layer in the body of the mattress, and zoned lumbar support along with a fully reinforced perimeter in the base coils.

Love it!

I'm so glad I pulled the trigger on a Helix mattress because I've been loving it so far. I'm a side sleeper who tosses a bit and it's responsive but supportive. It's soft and comfortable without being too squishy and making me feel "trapped" in memory foam. It feels very high quality and well made, too. I like that it's made in Arizona and doesn't have any fiberglass in it. Nothing but positives so far. The mattress protector is noisy so I don't use it and the sheets are kind of flimsy but they were both free so whatever.

Transition from firm mattress to soft mattress

I used to enjoy a firm mattress. I am a side sleeper. Over time it began to hurt my hips. I purchased a bed topper from Puffy that was very nice but left me in a pool of sweat each time I used it. I purchased the helix soft mattress and pillows and have been sleeping nicely ever since.

We love our Helix Sunset Luxe

We love our new Helix Sunset Luxe mattress. We were sleeping on a Sleep Number air mattress, so we were used to a soft mattress. It took us a few nights—maybe a week to get used to our Helix. It was a bit firmer than the Sleep Number. My husband & I do sleep much deeper & sounder than we used to. I feel much more rested each morning.

Not very soft - sadly disappointed!

I know this is supposed to be the softer model, and the right fit for side sleepers, but I'm 29 years old and do not have any kind of medical problems, yet this bed has made sleep more difficult for me for some reason. It does not feel very soft, despite it being advertised as a soft feel mattress. I am waking up lately with a bit of soreness in my hips and lower back and I'm still quite warm despite the top layer that's supposed to have a cooling effect. I'm sadly disappointed!

Average Mattress for the price of a used car

The Sunset Luxe is firmer than expected and I purchased the glaciotex cooling top but I don’t notice any difference from a regular mattress. There were several loose threads on the mattress itself and a hole on the adjustable base. The hefty price does not match what I received.

Fits like a glove… for my whole body

Soft and snuggly in terms of the “firmness” at the top but supportive in all the right ways; perfect blend and balance of what I find comfortable and what my body needs for good sleep. Memory foam always felt like I was trapped or “sinking” even with the benefits and comfort, so this is the “just right” choice. My lower back pain has all but vanished from sleeping on my old mattress, so even with the higher price point, I feel like I made the best decision…
