Best little pot!
Lucky to buy this on sale as a replacement for a Cuisinart pot starting to split away from its copper bottom. Calphalon is so much better, but I sometimes buy the other brand because Calphalon is more expensive. The premium level Calphalon is a heavier version and entirely dishwasher safe-thank you!

I Love this sauce pan!
I love this sauce pan!! What others say about it in their reviews are true - it is heavy, the lid looks like it is a bit too big, and I still love it. Actually, I love it because of these things. On the lid - it helps to ensure that things don’t spill over and I don’t need to remember to come back and move the lid a bit to the side to let steam out, like I do with other pots. On the heaviness - I love the feel of it. It feels soo solid. If you have wrist problems or you are a bit frail, then this pan may not be for you. I love that it feels like I could bang this around all day and it wouldn’t make a difference. I also am amazed at how well things don’t stick to it. I was very surprised at that. To the extent you mess up and really burn something - cover the bottom with Ajax and pour hot to boiling water into it and leave it sit overight. It will clean up like new. Ii have the rest of the set of this pot and love all of them. Highly recommend it, for most people.

This works great for straining pasta.

Ineffective spouts
The pour spouts are too thick, not enough taper or lip, and pouring from them causes liquid to run down the side of the pan. You can only get a clean pour when the pan is only 1/3 full. Might as well not even have the spouts, which was the whole reason I bought this specific model.

Not bad, but misleading!
I find the image of the pot deceiving or misleading. i bought this pot thinking it came with a steaming tray. it does not. the pot itself is not bad, that said it w/b better if it came with steaming tray. Or sell it as an accessories

Nice pot except for the lid.
Nice pot except….very disappointed that the lid does not seal. Therefore simmering anything is going to let lots of moisture out. Can’t use this for cooking anything like rice. There’s no mention of this in the description.

Pot
Fantastic pot. Cleans extremely well in the dishwasher. Excellent quality, comfortable handle and love the pour spout and draining lid. Wished I had purchased this item sooner.

Great quality but ridiculously heavy
The sauce pan is excellent quality and very durable, but it is ridiculously heavy due in part to the lid. It is nearly impossible to drain out water by tipping it with one hand and holding the lid in place with the other. Both hands required on the handle for this effort. Almost makes me not want to use it.
