Great Coffee Grinder

Great machine. Have only used it for a few weeks. So far we are very satisfied. Our previous coffee grinder decided to die after about 25 years! Hope this one lasts as long. New one is more quiet and definitely grinds more evenly. We use a French Press and I think we are actually using a few less beans with the new grinder. I would recommend.

Keep trying till you get a good one

Second try got the Capresso that I expected I had purchased one for my family they were very happy. Second one purchased for myself would only grind fine. 3rd unit perfect. Also tried a less expensive Capresso, not good. This unit is heavy and fairly quiet, smooth.

Pricey junk.

Very disappointed with this item. It was a pain to assemble. We had to find a YouTube trouble shooting video to get it put together, as the instructions do not mention to check and adjust the internal alignment before trying to twist the collar on. It clogs badly. The spaces to clean it out are difficult to get into and coffee and beans go everywhere. Item was returned.

For a great cup of coffee

Does a super job of grinding coffee—if you have the bean hopper installed correctly. And it is not that easy to know if the hopper is on right until you hit the timer button to start. Directions are mostly drawings, but they include useful hints. The conical grinder ground the coffee so well (compared to our old blade grinder), that I will have to use less coffee when brewing. I usually use 1 1/2 scoops of coffee for about 36 ounces of coffee. When I used that amount with this grinder, the coffee was too strong. I’ll probably use 1 scoop. I myself like iced coffee and usually use instant Starbucks to make it. This was a gift for my husband who loves strong, dark coffee. Cleaning the burr grinder should be done with a brush. I usually use a makeup brush as the one they give you is quite small. The grinder is not very loud at all.
