Sturdy, not fragile.

The description on Macy's site used the word "fragile" for these plates, but not for other plates I was considering. No worries, these plates are not fragile! We use them for everyday and they are great. They have a thin profile, unlike, say, stoneware, so they fit well in a dishwasher. It's nice to be able to choose patterns, sizes and multiples of plates instead of only sets. Note that the mugs are enormous, 17 ounces, so be sure that's what you're looking for when ordering. Overall a good purchase!
