Bad sizing

I ordered a large size. I always wear large. When it came, it was way too big. I really liked the style so I ordered a medium, which came today. When I tried to return it to Macys today, they said it was a final sale. If the product isn't the size they said it was and was way too large, how can Macys refuse t take it back. I understand if I wanted to return it because I didn't like it, but the size was WRONG. I am very unhappy with this decision! As you can see, the medium was delivered today.
