Produces a uniform grind

This is my first burr grinder and it seems to produce mostly uniform course grinds for my French Press (its basic job) and was less expensive than others. My main complaint is that it produces fine coffee dust around the reservoir needing cleaning after each use.

User need to understand static; Cuisinat, function

Buyers complaining about the mess of the grind, especially for very fine grinds, need to understand static electricity. Cuisinart should understand functionality in product design, not just appearance. The static problem is predictable and was curable in design. Users should let the ground coffee in the chamber sit for a while as it naturally discharges. Too much plastic, too much static, too little engineering. Very good grind, though

Excellent grinder!

This grinder is wonderful. It holds enough coffee beans to make several pots of coffee. At the press of a button you can get the exact amount of beans ground.

Best Start of the Morning

My morning coffee brings me such joy, that I treated myself to a coffee grinder to make my day start off even better. After doing a lot of research, I chose this grinder. I like how it grinds the exact amount you need. It's not loud either. Glad I made this purchase.

taking coffee to a whole other level

The conical burr grinder takes coffee to a whole new level. the only problem I'm finding with it after a months use is the static the plastic container that catches the grinds makes it messy when taking in or out. also this one in particular needs some knocking on or shaking to get the grinds out or they'll drop when you take out the catch. Other than that a conical burr grinder does take coffee to a whole other level especially if your like me and also run a small espresso occasionally and need the grind a little finer. Thanks for reading

Great Appliance

This coffee grinder is the best I have ever had. I purchased it to replace an older one that finally died after more than 10 years of nearly daily use. This one does a much better job of grinding the beans. It is also easier to regulate the number of cups using the digital control that the older model that was operated by using a slide bar.

I give up on Cuisinart products!

I used to be a diehard Cuisinart fan. I always thought they delivered superior quality for the pricetag. That is no longer the case. I only got this grinder because I purchased a 12 cup thermal carafe coffee maker and it malfunctioned within a month. Took it back, got a replacement and it did the same thing. Finally, after going through three Cuisinart coffee makers and all three being dysfunctional I gave up and took the refund credit to buy a burr grinder instead. This one. Now I've had it for less than two months and the sensor that tells the grinder that the hopper is in place has stopped working so the grinder won't grind any coffee because it thinks the hopper isn't there. So now I have an expensive but useless grinder to go with a useless coffee maker. I'm beyond frustrated and it's really too bad because Cuisinart coffee makers always seem to make really great coffee and my last one lasted for 15 years.
