The toast and english muffins don't pop up high enough even when you push the handle. Have singed fingers trying to get it out and often have to use a fork or knife to lift out the toast or muffin

Great Toaster

Disappointment

My last Toaster was a Cuisinart. I had it a really long time it performed well but stopped toasting evenly. (This very same toaster is now being marketed under Waring brand name.) This toaster, I am reviewing, is cheaply made, does not give the same shade consistency, it does no pop up high enough to get the toast out without having to stick tongs down into the toaster. I did not find this out until I tried it and therefore was unable to return it. I would not recommend this toaster.
