Great summer lesuire read

This book was definitely one of the better ones that I have read recently. I specifically liked the way that the characters were set up and introduced. I think that it kept the plot flowing and the reader always had new information coming to them. However I did notice that towards the end of the book things moved a little slower, not to say that what was being written wasn’t interesting, but from beginning to end I noticed a drastic change in speed. I thought the characters were very versatile and their lives were definitely realistic. Sometimes when I read books the characters seem extremely fake, even in realistic fiction, but that was not the case in this book. I did not read much on this book before starting it so the plot to me was something very shocking. I think that Guillory thought this one out very well. And you would think that this plot or idea would get burned out by page 1oo, but that was not the case. Guillory added a lot of twists and turns and adapted characters and added characters to keep the plot interesting. I'm a huge fan of short chapters. This book tends to have middle to longer chapters that were kind of hard to keep me going. At certain points in the book, I couldn't put it down, but others I got kind of bored at times. A possible theme for this book could be true love is not supposed to be easy, both Luke and Margot went through a lot to be together and had to risk a lot of different aspects of their lives. Overall, this was a really well thought out book and is definitely a good leisure read. I will be checking out more books by Jasmine Guillory.

Drunk on Guillory

Margot Noble needs some relief from the stress of running the family winery with her brother. Enter Luke: sexy, charming, and best of all in the too-small world of Napa, a stranger. The chemistry between them is undeniable, and Margot is delighted that she lucked into the perfect one-night stand she’ll never have to see again. That is, until the winery’s newest hire, Luke, walks in the next morning. Margot is determined to keep things purely professional, but when their every interaction reminds her of the attraction still bubbling between them, it proves to be much more challenging than she expects. Set in Napa Valley wine country, this is Jasmine Guillory at her best. A novel full of sexual tension, humor, and wine: what could make for better sipping? Recommended. #DrunkOnLove #NetGalley #SaltMarshAuthors

sweet,lighthearted wonderful romance

Drunk on Love by Jasmine Guillory is another one of her sweet romantic standalone novels. We meet Margot Noble, who runs a winery in California Wine Country with her brother, Elliot. Margot is the CEO, who handles marketing, wine tasting, parties; and her brother handles the land. Because she has been overworking, planning on a special wine party, she is stressful due to her brother not happy about the plans; she ends up at her best friend (Sydney) restaurant/bar to relax. A very handsome man enters the place, and in a short time they spend the evening talking, and ends up having a one-night stand, that was memorable; neither expecting to see each other again. Luke Williams, quit his job and moves back to Napa, where is mother and best friend live. He gets a temporary job, and when he meets the beautiful women at the bar, he is immediately attracted to her; as they spend the night together. But the next morning when he starts his new job, he is shocked to see the woman whom he spent the night with is indeed his new boss. Margot was also shocked to see Luke, and goes out of her way to keep things professional, even though she still feels their chemistry. Luke offers to quit, but Margot convinces him to stay, as they do need help in the marketing area; despite their attraction, they both do their best to not act on those feelings. I really liked all of the characters in this story; including Margot, Luke, Sydney, Elliot, Ashley, Taylor, just to name a few. I loved the concept with the winery, and Margot’s plans for the party, and how wonderful they all were. In time, Margot and Elliot will clear out the misunderstandings, which will open things in the winery even more. When Luke has to quit to help his mother, both Margot and Luke finally act on their feelings, as they made a great couple, so much fun. Drunk on Love is a sweet lighthearted wonderful romantic story, in a winery setting, with a couple that were afraid to admit their feelings, until things opened up and the chemistry was off the wall. Margot and Luke were so very likable, as was their friends and family. Drunk on Love was a fantastic story, so well written by Jasmine Guillory.

Enjoyable Read

I really enjoyed Drunk on Love by Jasmine Guillory, a sexy, flirty and fun story taking place at a Napa winery. Margot Noble owns and runs an inherited winery along with her brother, Elliot, when she meets a charismatic younger guy while visiting her favorite bar in Napa. Luke Williams is looking for a fun temporary job after quitting his high-pressure tech position in Silicon Valley. The chemistry between them is undeniable as they spend a sizzling one-off night together. Unfortunately, neither knew they would meet again, the next morning, as Luke was the newest employee of Noble Winery and Margot was now his boss. This was an interesting story with two tropes, age-gap and workplace romance; but this time with a twist. The older adult and boss was a woman. Margot and Luke decide it was best not to engage in a romantic relationship since she’s his boss; adding an engaging dynamic. Their chemistry was off the charts and it was interesting and stressful watching their struggle to keep things professional. Ms. Guillory wrote a wonderful, heartwarming romance, filled with sizzling chemistry, life challenges, amusing banter, and charming characters that is definitely not to be missed. I highly recommend Drunk on Love to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Fun, romantic read

Drunk on Love by Jasmine Guillory Pub Date: 20 Sep 2022 4/5 Stars Jasmine Guillory is a very popular author, one whose books I didn’t think I liked that much. Her latest, Drunk on Love, has proved me wrong. This story is about Margot Noble who owns and runs an inherited winery along with her brother. She meets a charismatic younger guy while visiting her favorite bar in Napa. Luke Williams is looking for a fun temporary job after quitting his high-pressure tech position in Silicon Valley. The chemistry between them is undeniable and they end up spending a hot night together. Little did either of them know they would meet again the next morning as Luke was the newest employee of Noble Winery and Margot was now his boss. Was this book predictable? Sure, but it was also charming and so enjoyable. Margot was feisty and Luke’s character was sexy and loveable.
