Just what I needed

This is my first experience using a cordless stick vacuum and I really like it. I've read comparisons that show that this model may not have all the bells and whistles, however, for what I needed, it fits my needs perfectly. Storage, lightweight, good charge, accessories included...these are what I appreciate the most.

Versatile

I have owned my Dyson vacuum about a month and am very impressed with the quality. I picks up everything and is powerful. It beats my cannister type , hands down. It's easy to empty and clean. It has a great stand for charging with plenty of different heads for cleaning different surfaces. Battery power is good. Very happy with this product.

Dyson V8 Absolute

I wish I had purchased years ago. I was hesitant to spend so much on a vacuum, but I am sold. I had a shark cordless that could not compare to the Dyson. This V8 is easy to use and picks up particles that I didn’t know where there. The tank is easy to empty. I bought the absolute and the only thing that I don’t like is having to switch the head for floors.

Great Choice

Bought this to replace a 30 year old Kirby that still worked but was too heavy and taking up too much room. New Dyson is much lighter, easier to use, especially changing the attachments and emptying the debris, and picks up much better than the Kirby.

Keep looking

I bought this several weeks ago to see what all the hype was about. Sadly, this does not live up to my expectations. I’ve had several cordless vacuums and they all beat this one out by far - without the price tag. To start, there is no display - I cannot tell when the battery is low, when there could be a clog, or when it’s suggested to clean the filter. There’s no way to indicate the status of this machine. Next, there is no light for the floor attachment, which I’ve had on several other much cheaper vacuums. Not having a light was such a miss in this one. Another disappointment is the battery life. This doesn’t come with a spare back up battery, which I’ve had with several other brands of vacuum. Not only is the battery life short, but it also takes awhile to charge. All in all, I will be going back to other less expensive brands that have equal to better performance with all the added features this one lacks. Such a bummer!
