Where Are the Kids?!?

These reindeer are adorable and probably my new favourite family. The perfect family to live in the original Lakeside Lodge. They are a great addition to Winter or Christmas displays. The toddlers have little flocked antlers-cuteness overload! My 6yo and I really like that the girl toddler is in a proper dress, not just the usual little romper. But where are the kids? Well, they are only available in a Christmas themed house set that was only released in Japan! This is incredibly disappointing to both children and collectors alike. We are not fans of the recent trend to release the families broken up into several separate sets. Instead of the child critters, this set comes with a cheap sleigh. It is just a generic piece of molded plastic junk- uncoated and no painted details. The sleigh’s poor quality and lack of detail is really highlighted when it’s displayed with Santa’s sleigh, which is lovely.
