So Much More Than A Cookbook

This book is a tribute to the people we love and great food! There is a stunning photo for every single recipe! Plus, there is a story to go with every single recipe. The entire cookbook, from cover to cover, is a dedication to love with perfectly delectable stories of the people Jen loves. Her writing style emanates throughout the entire book. You will laugh, maybe cry, and definitely cry from laughing! Oh and let's not forget the actual recipes which are golden! I made the roasted chicken with pan dripping gravy and the chicken pot pie. Both were amazing and have become regular dinners in our home! This cookbook is also a dedication to all the hard-working home cookers and the people we feed because we love them. Get this book!

Jen finally made a cookbook!

We’ve been begging Jen to make a cookbook for a years and it’s finally here! I was an early recipe tester last year and couldn’t wait to get the rest of the recipes and make them. In addition to the recipes being delicious, I love Jen’s commentary and stories throughout the book. First time I’ve ever read a cookbook cover to cover. Buy this cookbook for yourself and order extra copies for family and friends - it’s the perfect gift for the holidays! We’re planning to prep her French toast bake for Christmas Eve and serve it Christmas Day to family staying with us!

A cookbook for the not-very-confident cook

I've grown up cooking and enjoying it - but I have been so burned out and gave up trying to find new recipes to try. Then this book came along and oh-my-goodness ... not only are the recipes truly doable and the flavors top shelf, but the commentary before (and during) the recipes are laugh out loud. An audiobook with Jen Hatmaker reading and chatting along while I make the recipe would be amazing! I've tried several recipes already and my picky teens have given a thumbs up for each one - Stuffed Shells, Black Pepper Biscuits, and the Homemade corndogs have already been requested again. Can't wait to try them all!

Gather around

Get ready to laugh, feel at home and like you fit right in! Jen Hatmaker’s Feed These People Cookbook is one you won’t be disappointed in. Written in a laid back, hilarious and sometimes sassy manner, Jen’s focus is more on the gathering of people, than the need to be a fancy tool welding sou chef kitchen expert. If you aren’t familiar with Jen, you’ll soon be giving her the status of BFF, as she weaves stories of her people, mishaps and just don’t care moments amongst the pages of recipes and photos. Jam packed flavour, few special ingredients, east to follow AND make recipes, leave you drooling as you flip through the pages. You’ll be gobbling up these recipes figuratively and literally!

Most Entertaining Cookbook I've Read

I don't think I have ever had so much fun reading a cookbook as I have with Feed These People by Jen Hatmaker. It's engaging and relatable with stories about her friends and family, hilarious commentary on ingredients, and practical use of things like leftovers in creative ways. My family has had a great time testing out recipes, and as I mentioned to some friends, it's been crazy easy to adjust something here or there to account for our preferences without worrying about messing up the recipe. I HIGHLY recommend this cookbook regardless of cooking skills or even if you don't cook. I bought a copy for a friend who isn't likely to even make the food but I think she'll thoroughly enjoy just reading it.

Perfect Cookbook for Regular People Like Me

If you buy only one cookbook this year, make it Jen Hatmaker's Feed These People. This cookbook is fun, funny, and the recipes are delicious. I am working my way through them and I have not found one I did not like. (But start with the French Toast Bake because it is DIVINE.) This is a great cookbook for people who may enjoy the idea of cooking, but are slightly intimidated by some of the complicated recipes found in cookbooks by professional chefs. Jen breaks everything down into easy to follow instructions that read more like she's right there telling you how she prepares this recipe. In true Jen Hatmaker style, she doesn't get fancy (I absolutely love that she flat out tells you to use rotisserie chicken and store bought pie dough for her chicken pot pie); these are real recipes for real people. I cannot recommend this book highly enough!
