Snowflake tapered mug

I purchased Fiesta Snowflake dinnerware several years ago. I ordered two more plates and a blue mug in November. This morning when I reheated coffee in the tapered mug I heard popping noises and went to check just when it sparked! I previously ordered two tapered mugs, one blue and one red. The red mug had no marking on the bottom, the two blue mugs have different markings on the bottom. SO disappointed in this purchase. Now I’m concerned about putting the plates in the microwave.
