Credit approval/denial

Hello, I was offered a credit card when I entered the door. After being approved, every purchase was verified except the final one was rejected. I was given a $5000 credit limit and only purchase $1400. The last purchase I attempt to make was denied... I received a call from Macy's customer service to verify me again a week later...this was the most unprofessional situation I had ever experience...
