I stumbled onto Dr. Ubell's podcast for a year or so before her book came out. Her approach is practical and realistic. So much of the advice fits in with what the nutritionists, dietitians, and therapist said when I was in treatment. (Dr. Ubell is upfront about the parts that may not be the best for those that have an eating disorder.) By following her advice, I've actually been able to decrease the frequency of my disordered eating episodes and I have a much more positive viewpoint on my health and related goals. Just reading this book won't fix your relationship with food, but following its advice definitely will. It takes work, but Dr. Ubell is a fantastic guide on how to do that and have it lead to your goals.
