Poor Quality-buyer beware

I was initially very happy with this coverlet. I purchased the gold, and it was just what I was looking for. However after 2 washes (I have pets---always delicate cycles and lowest heat), the coverlet is covered in little tiny threads. It's slowly deconstructing itself. It's quite obvious to see and makes it look cheap. I've just passed the return window, so now I'm stuck with it, it seems. this is my first time purchasing J. Queen, and probably my last.

These pure white pillows are soft, nice texture and were an excellent price on sale. Using them on a queen bed with a burgundy pillow in the center in front of shams.
