Slim 42"! Does that make sense?

Be careful with ordering these Johnny Bigg Men's size 42 waist pants because they are a slim fit. The concept doesn't work in my brain. I purchased the matching suit coat and it's not listed as a slim fit, it was actually a little roomy for me. A slim fit 42 should have a full 42" waist. I couldn't come close to buttoning these pants and my waist is 41 inches. I thought the seat and legs would be smaller, but not the waist!
