Great reads for years!
My oldest girls (three) who has now graduated from college had these books as a child. Now my eight years old reads them. Although, there’s a lot of names calling and pranks my daughter laughs so much while reading these books. Even though she know this is not how we live in this house she can’t stop reading book after book. . My oldest said it was someone else’s life living crazy as a kid that was her age. I don’t know.. I do know that reading these books made my daughters enjoy reading for many years.

Outdated humor that reinforces bad behavior
I am highly disappointed in these books. I did not realize these written in 1993, which accounts for the outdated humor. Every other word is "dumb" or "stupid", so I have to skip over them while reading the books to my girls. Junie B. frequently resorts to name-calling, is rude to other children and adults, mocks the appearances of other people, etc. I understand she is five, but these books reinforce behaviors that I find disgusting.
