beautiful but not large

This bag is beautifully constructed and is a great work tote. However, my 14 inch Dell Inspiron laptop just fit but bigger ones won’t. My laptop is 12 inches long by 9 inches wide. I tried to use my laptop sleeve but it is too big to fit. Larger laptops would not fit. This bag is good if you don’t carry much and the outer compartments are slim but the inner compartment is roomy enough even with the laptop. I love that it zips up so the contents won’t fall out. The shoulder strap seems like it might not hold if the bag is really heavy but is detachable. The way the trim design wraps down to the bottom makes it not exactly flat on the bottom but the gold feet help balance it and it should balance better when it is full. I love how it looks and I kind of like that I will have to really think about how it won’t fit everything because I used to carry too much.You can get bigger totes, but this is a beautiful classy option, if you have a smaller laptop.

Buyer Beware

I normally read all the fine print and never purchase anything from Macy’s that has to be return directly to the vendor. I didn’t do that this time and that’s my fault. However, this item was shipped directly from a Kate Spade Outlet and cannot be returned. That information was NOT disclosed by Macy’s and that is their fault. It gives the perception of violating consumer protection rules. The laptop bag did come nicely wrapped and protected with the storage bag inside the purse. UPS didn’t do them any favors though. The box looked like it had been through an NFL game. Always makes me curious what happened to make a box look that beat up. The purse was fine so credit to Kate Spade.
