Way too light for a winter jacket.

I bought this for my 6 year old grandson as it reads “winter jacket.” Nice jacket, however there is no way this would keep him warm enough here in Michigan. He liked it, so will keep for a fall/spring jacket.

This 18-20 husky is skinnier than 16 husky squall

This 10-20 husky was thinner than the squall 16 husky!

Great Coat!

I think people still do not understand new synthetic insulations. It is WARM but THIN. That's the point and exactly what you want! You can no longer judge a coat's warmness solely on thickness. My daughter has worn this coat in Toronto for two winters now and it has held up really well. Playing in the snow at school, home, cottage, etc. Never a complaint about being cold. I will admit that we don't spend much time playing outside when it is below -10/-12 degrees C, but does fine for car rides when it's colder. The only downside is that it is water resistant instead of waterproof, so does get a bit soggy after playing but doesn't seem to seep through to the inside. It then dries fairly fast but not as fast as other family members' waterproof jackets. Does fit large which was actually a nice surprise because we got another year of use out of it!

So thin

There is no way this is rated for -7F (or -21C). It's so thin!

Great winter jacket for layering

Daughter loves this winter jacket because it is warm but not bulky. It has great length so coverage is really good. Breaks the wind and has thumb holes in the sleeve lining. She wears a fleece under it and that provides plenty of warmth for a CT winter. It can go fall into spring depending on layers worn underneath.

Not that great

I ended up returning this jacket because it was very thin and cheaply made for the amount of money I spent on it. It is a decent Fall jacket but not warm enough for cold days.
