These are thinner than I wanted them to be. Ok for snow, but not extended play in the Midwestern cold.

Waste of money and trouble to return.
Way too big and very thin. Poor quality. Shame on you Lands End. I trusted you with my granddaughter’s hands in the winter, and these mittens had to be returned. I wouldn’t even give them to her.

HUGE - should have known better.
Ordered these to replace our other mittens from a big box store, which had proved too difficult for my kindergarteners to put on by themselves at school due to the long cuffs. I consulted the size chart. I measured my kids’ hands and ordered the appropriate size. They arrived today and are MASSIVE. Four inches past their fingertips. I didn’t check the reviews at my own peril - had I done so, I would have remembered that the entire Squall line runs a full size to size and a half large. On top of that, re-ordering has become more complicated by the fact that all the girls’ colors have sold out. WHY, Lands End? Why don’t you follow your OWN size charts to begin with, and why do you stock so few of the colors that girls want? They don’t want navy or black. What a stupid pink tax for a little girl to have to pay in early December. It’s not exactly late in the season. Kids’ gloves get lost, damaged, and outgrown throughout the winter - PLEASE stock appropriately. (This is true across all brands, who apparently think that little boys are the only kids who play in the snow. Maybe - just maybe - you could carve out a niche in the market by being responsive to what your customers actually need.)

Mittens become soft ball mitts.
The mittens were purchased for my six-year-old granddaughter. As she put then on, she immediately said, "these are way to big". They certainly were. She could fold the top third of the mitten down over her palm.... maybe they would fit in two-three years.

Not as thick inside as I hoped
I am disappointed that the insides of the mittens don't seem as thick as I'd like or as they were from past purchases. I'm hoping fingers won't get cold this winter from the thin lining. I'm donating them to kids in need.

Too Thin and Too Large
I took measurements of my 7 year old's hand and the size chart indicated I should order a large. The large fits my adult hand that is at least 2 inches longer than hers! They are also too thin to pass for warm winter mittens. They are essentially a polyester lining and the waterproof exterior, with no insulation in between. I would return them but bought them on sale.

Nice gloves!
They were for a Christmas gift. They looked very nice and warm and she was thrilled with them!
