Warm socks; could use a bit more stretch

I bought these socks after all my old Lands End Thermaskin socks wore out. The socks are warm and the foot is very comfortable, but I wish Lands End made solid socks as they used to, w/o the sewn pattern. The part of the sock with the pattern doesn't stretch as much as the rest of the sock. Still, I bought multiple pairs because the foot is so comfortable.
