Ratings & Reviews

Here's what customers think
"The Endor Speeder Chase set has a mixed reception. The speeder bikes are well-designed, and the foliage adds nice detail. However, the bikes are difficult to position, the minifigures lack detail, and many feel the set is overpriced for the limited content. The small base size also limits display options. While the set has some positive aspects, the issues with the minifigures, display, and value for money leave many reviewers disappointed, especially at the full retail price."

So disappointing

I wouldn't call myself an expert Lego builder, but I'm not bad, and building this drove me mad! The time spent tryint to get the speeders at the right angle, with leaves coming away as I did so, with parts of the speeders doing likewise, was just so irritating. It looks good now, but I daren't touch it, just in case! A pity. The Trash Compactor was so much fun to do!

Could have been better

To be honest, I expected more. It looks amazing and sits well in the other displays. But i feel its too small to really show its value. The speeder bikes dont sit well and it lacked any depth. But with additional mini figs it worked out great.. Im glad I still purchased but it could have been better.

Very Nice Diorama

This set looks very good on display, I know some people complain about the trees’ instability but that’s actually correct to life (Muir Woods, where this scene was filmed, has mainly redwood trees which are very fragile-I’ve been there many times) and also about the speeders’ steep angle, but look at the movie, they’re going pretty fast and weaving at angles like this. Also as for the photos, some people say it’s not the same, but it is if you look at it with your eyes level to the base. That’s how the photo was taken, clearly. I know that there are a lot of Lego Star Wars sets that are underwhelming or plain bad, but this is, in my opinion, one of the good ones. Keep doing dioramas and stuff like this, Lego, and you’ll keep your fans. But please stop downsizing literally everything. Thanks!

Cute display

Annoying to build the little plants, but looks incredible when finished. Wished there was a somewhere in the build to store the weapons.

Very nice when built but little expensive

This is one of those collector sets that are really aimed for the Star Wars enthusiasts especially the older collectors who appreciate those classic scenes. I bought this while on offer as I though it was a little dear but I’m glad I did because it is presented nicely, comes with an instruction book that contains a lot of other very interesting and thoughtful Star Wars movie and behind the scenes related information that enthusiasts would be really happy to read through. The final build is really nice and the type of thing you would really display rather than add to a setup or play with. The trees are quite generously tall and wide and there is quite a lot of foliage that really sets it off. The speeders are slightly different as you can see and the minifigures have their camo gear just like in the film. It is a really well thought about build but there are some very fiddly bits like getting the speeders balanced in the right position and they do easily fall of the stands and some of the foliage pops off while getting it all in place too but it do look good when you get it right. I don’t think I’d buy all of these anniversary sets due to the price and some seem a little like adult mini builds that I couldn’t justify buying for the reason that I prefer to use builds in scenes and other setups and these are really for display but for the enthusiast it is a nice package with some nice info too. If this wasn’t on offer at the time I bought it I may not have done but I’m glad I had the opportunity to experience one of these anniversary builds and this is probably my favourite one. If it’s still available and on offer I’d say go for it definitely. Thank you.

Speeder Bikes!

Return of the Jedi was the first movie I ever saw in a theater and was my favorite Star Wars movie for years so I had to grab this one. This was a nice build, and it’s a nice display of the Endor forest. The speeder bikes look fantastic, although it’s hard getting the figures to sit on them without making their legs prone. The biker scout is a nicely designed figure. It’s a quick build and a bit pricey for what you get, but it does look nice on display.
