Beautiful lamp for a stylish home office

This is a really beautiful and great quality lamp. It was easy to put together and It goes well with the style in my home office. It was a bit overpriced and a little bigger than I think it needed to be so for those 2 reasons it gets a 4 instead of a 5.

Beautiful but defective

We were thrilled to see the beautiful materials in this lamp ... until we attempted to assemble it! The screw nut which holds the center top and pole is so short that you cannot actually hold the lamp together (impossible!). then we discovered that, when assembled, the back of the lamp base--cord and all--sticks out of the front of the lamp. Even the assembly diagram shows it put together that way--unbelievable!!
