Item Not As Pictured

I ordered this paperback version because the cover was identical to the hardcover copy I had about ten years ago. I loved that book and read it repeatedly, but I lent it to a friend who has since passed and can never get it back. It’s been about five years that I put off buying another copy because I was waiting to find the version I fell in love with. While I was initially disappointed that there was only a paperback version with the correct cover, I decided it would be better to have something similar rather than nothing. Well, upon opening the package, it was a crushing let-down that what I received is nothing like the item pictured. It may not seem like a big deal, but this has been one of the few purchases I’ve felt this level of joy and childlike anticipation over in years; the opportunity to relive the experience of feeling the same book in your hands that changed your life. It was the only reason I ordered from Barnes&Noble; I had even filled my wishlist with all of Lewis’ other books with similar covers for a nice, uniform set. Lesson learned; I’ll just order from another retailer in future.

Absolutely Love This Book

I specifically ordered the paperback because the cover is the same as the hardcover copy I bought around 10 years ago. I lent it to a friend who has passed and can’t get it back. Being able to get the same copy I fell in love with is the only reason I ordered from Barnes & Noble as opposed to Amazon. What arrived is not the cover version pictured, and while that may not seem like a big deal, I am so very disappointed.
