Wrong socks sent?

I purchased these men's chenille socks as a gift for my fiance. When I received them they were super duper long, at least knee high or over the knee socks. Not a men's style in my opinion, plus the ones pictured only go calf length. The tag is different on the socks I was sent vs the one in the picture too. Not a huge deal as I will just gift these socks to someone else but if you are ordering these for a man be aware you may not receive men's socks. I got the black.
