Thank you for your feedback and sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the product. Hopefully, this additional information will be helpful. The form of B-12 known as cyanocobalamin is non-toxic and does not contain significant amounts of cyanide, plus has some benefits that methylcobalamin does not. Many plant foods, such as apples and almonds, contain extremely tiny amounts of cyanide, so low that they are not considered a danger to humans. The Institute of Medicine, which sets upper limits for nutrients, declined to set an upper limit for cyanocobalamin because of the lack of toxicity for that nutrient. Additionally, there are two active coenzyme forms of vitamin B12 in the human body and methylcobalamin is only one of the two. Our bodies need about twice as much of the non-methylated form, adenosylcobalamin, and cyanocobalamin is an important precursor of both forms. Unlike methylcobalamin, that second form of B-12 has a role in energy production in the body.
