I've been using my Roborock every day and my floor have never been cleaner. Very easy to install, the app works really well, and the AI is very easy to use. I have had other brands before Roborock and this one is my favorite. 100% recommended.

I have never had cleaner floors

I’ve had the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra for about a month now, and honestly, it’s been awesome. It handles hardwood, laminate, and carpet like a champ and picks up cat litter, cardboard bits, and other everyday messes without a problem. My floors have never stayed this clean with so little effort. There’s one tricky spot in my house where tile steps down into wood, and the vacuum sometimes hesitates there—but it’s never actually gotten stuck or needed me to step in. The app is super powerful—kind of complex, but in a good way. There are tons of settings you can tweak, and it lets you control just about everything you could think of. Navigation is solid, and the obstacle avoidance is smart enough that I’ve never had to rescue it. It always makes it back to the dock, and the mapping feature is crazy accurate. Watching it scan your house with its little spinning laser is actually pretty cool. It’s been very reliable so far. Aside from emptying the water tanks a few times, I haven’t had to do much at all. I also love the camera features—being able to drive it around and check in on things remotely is surprisingly handy (and fun). The mopping works well—not just a light wipe, but some actual scrubbing. And it’s got different noise levels depending on the mode. It can get a bit loud on max suction, but the quiet mode is, well, quiet. Bottom line: If you’re looking for a top-tier robot vacuum, this is it. It’s not perfect, but it’s close—and it’s definitely made my life a lot easier.

Great clean, but improvements needed.

Love how the product cleans the rooms! One big item to improve is the ability to have multi-floor stations. As of right now, I either have to buy a robot for each floor OR have to bring robot back and forth to it station for dust emptying, charging and water refill. I wish I could buy a separate station for each floor, while keeping only one robot. Another improvement suggestion is the interface. It is hard to figure out how to specify my preference for cleaning each room differently. Sometimes robot switches to AI clean mode and starts washing floors without vacuuming first, i.e. pushing mess around the room. It seems like I have to set up a custom routine for each room to vacuum first and then mop in order to be able to be able to clean the way I prefer it.

I bought it for nearly a year and it is very useful. I recommend it to my friends.

Cleans cat hair very well. Will be lucky if it lasts 2 years without debilitating problems.

Vacuums cat hair well on max mode, over 1 year it did develop a brrring sound and some problems functioning and had it "repaired" by roborock (it was not fully repaired). I don't think it vacuums well on turbo mode or less, mopping is just okay. The main reason I'm writing this review is because this model (I'm not sure if the saros will) develop dementia and struggle a lot with navigating and mapping after awhile which can make it partially or potentially fully unusable (im not sure as i haven't let it gone to that extent). When it reaches this stage it will go back and forth and around and around confused + will distort the map making you need to restore the previously saved map. I just learned from going on the roborock Reddit page that this is a common problem even with cleaned sensors. But mine did come with the promotion of 5 yrs warranty, so I guess after another year or so they'll just have to keep repairing it or replacing it, but they I'm not sure they will replace it twice if it has problems because in the emails they said they almost always only allow replacements within 30 days of receiving the 1st robot. All of this occured between s8 max v ultra presale to today at March 12th 2025.
