high quality cotton
I did not purchase this for extra padding. I purchased this, so my back would lie against PURE COTTON and not sweat from synthetic fibers. Very happy with this - washes wonderfully - can sleep on this without any bedding- excellent quality

Too small-ripped
Zero stars. I washed this before use and I was not able to fit it around my twin mattress without significant effort and without ripping the elastic band. A must-return.

Dear VJ, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're truly sorry to hear that the mattress pad didn’t fit as expected and that the elastic ripped during first use. This isn’t the experience we want for our customers. This mattress pad is designed to fit mattresses up to 16 inches deep with a snug, slip-resistant skirt that includes a touch of Spandex for stretch. If the mattress is deeper than 16 inches or if the pad was still in its compressed state (it may take up to 72 hours to fully expand after unpacking), this could have contributed to the difficulty in fitting and the resulting damage. To avoid this in future use, we recommend allowing the pad to fully expand before placing it on the bed and confirming your mattress height. We appreciate your feedback, and we’re committed to improving our product experience based on your input.

Different Expectations…
When I chose this item I expected a product that would add some extra cushion to my already very comfortable bed, but this did not. When I hear “mattress pad” I think of cushion and comfort, but this item is very thin. We already have a mattress protector on our bed and this item is the same thickness as that. Without the added cushion that I was expecting, I’m not sure what purpose this item provides. Maybe I’m getting a mattress pad and a mattress topper confused as the same thing? Either way, we’ll be keeping this item on our mattress as an extra layer of protection.
