Beautiful, but lacking in quality and durability

When the dinnerware arrived (I purchased two sets) I was excited, as it is was lovely with a beautiful finish. However, after two years of daily use, it has not held up well for the quality it purports to deliver. The dinner and salad plates surfaces show and retain many, many knife marks which will not clean off with scrubbing, including using Barkeepers’s Friend. I also question its durability as the salad plate edges are prone to major chipping. Value for money for this product is quite low and I deeply regret this purchase.
