Wonderful To Keep Skills Fresh

The thing that is negative about summer break is that kids seem to forget so much of what they learned the year before, as well as they get out of the habit of doing school work. So, when they go back to school, they have to review, get back in habits, and all of this after a wonderful summer. With these books, that is no longer a problem. They keep skills sharp and have fun reviews for all subjects and even special projects they can do. My kids love doing this and are excited to start this one next week!

ready to go workbook

When it comes to a packet, I prefer a printed and bound workbook any day! This is one reason I chose to use this with my 1st grade son this summer. I didn't want to use my ink and then have to staple a bunch of pages together, especially since it will be used daily! Another thing I love about the Summer Bridge book is the fact that it's not super easy, boring work! We've completed the first 5 pages so far and each one was the perfect level for him. It also covers many skills, so as a 2nd grade teacher I'm pretty confident about him coming into 2nd grade next year!

Great for keeping skills growing over the summer!

The Summer Bridge Activities book is a great tool for keeping skills sharp over the summer months. It is filled with reading, writing, math, science, and social studies activities for students, but the best parts are bonus sections that provide open-ended exploration to challenge thinking and spark interest. This will provide parents with a variety of materials to keep their children growing and ready for the new school year.
