Good Design Is Invisible

Based on the successfully popular podcast 99% Invisible, Roman Mars shares his extensive observations in this bright and engaging book. It is presented as a design history compendium of all aspects of life in the city, exploring how these designs impact the people that live in them, and how they in turn impact these designs. The thoroughly researched results are quite fascinating and mostly surprising, sometimes reminding us that the relationship between form and function isn't always an obvious one. This book will appeal to everyone, though it is perhaps a bit lengthy for the casual reader. For the trivia buff, however, this book is a gem. Make no mistake, as Mars states in the beginning, "You are about to see stories everywhere, YOU BEAUTIFUL NERD."
