Healthy and practical recipes

The key to eating for longevity (in my opinion) is all about a varied/balanced diet with lots of flavor, and this cookbook absolutely provides recipes that meet both of those requirements. I was a little concerned that some of the recipes would call for exotic ingredients that I wouldn't be able to find anywhere, so I was delighted when I saw that many recipes explain where to find certain ingredients or offer practical alternatives that we'd all find at the grocery store. And many of the recipes are actually quite simple - beans, vegetables, fruits, and spices. Another wonderful thing about this book is that there are recipe options from all over the world so you can sample Japanese, Mediterranean, and Central American options, each with their own unique flavor combinations. The stories behind these regional diets along with beautiful photos really make this a unique cookbook. I highly recommend it!
