But when her classmates start turning up dead dying in the way that they said scared them the most Izzy knows it's no joke. With each death hitting closer to home, Izzy sets out to try to stop the killer. Could her older sister's friend Tristan have something to do with the deaths? He's given her some strange vibes. I forgot about her endings!

Izzy and her friends find themselves in the middle of a who-dun-it when the latest meme focusing on “fear” goes more than viral. It’s been awhile since I’ve read a book by this author and was excited to jump in. With its quick pace and keep you guessing twists, I was on the edge of my seat. Then we have the ending. Once my audiobook ended I was like “W. THE ACTUAL. F” and then I remembered that this is Ms. Preston’s MO and I forgot that going in!!

meh

i don’t know how i feel at first it was good but over halfway done and i decided to not finish it just got too predictable and it got boring and the protagonist was annoying made me get into a reading slump especially after reading a great thriller like the silent patient. wouldn’t recommend for first time thriller readers

AMAZING

I bought this book on a whim. It sounded cool. I didn’t have high expectations for this book. But MAN. I was surprised. Y’all ever read a good book and when it’s done you’re like an addict asking why your addiction of choice is gone? This book. It had the expected twist as all thriller books have. Leads you one way and tries to misdirect you then whips you back to who you originally thought it was to begin with (not me. I stuck to my guns with who I thought it was and was right). But this author. In all her AMAZINGNESS. Decided to take that twist a step further. Once the expected twist was done and your mind is following the logical order of events (figure out killer; save friends; get away from killer; turn in killer to police), ANOTHER unexpected thing happens resulting in an unexpected unaliving (for me anyway). Then in the panic of THAT the author decides to throw one last twist in there. But wait. We’re only a few pages away from the end. How can she do that? …..THE LAST LINE OF THE BOOM YALL!!!!! When I say I was shook… I was shook. Like the degree to which I was shook would put a 10.0 magnitude earthquake to shame. Amazing book. Loveable characters. Loved the thrills. Literally couldn’t put this book down if I tried. It was a permanent appendage of mine until it was completed for all 4 hours of the read.

A fun, suspenseful read!

First of all, the plot is amazing. It could totally be a fun, teen horror, movie. The ending… I kind of loved it. Of course it left me with so many questions and I want an ending, kind of. But still, I love unexpected, unpopular endings. Just like in those B horror flicks, many small things just made no sense and the characters often acted very stupid, but that kind of added to the fun of it. Overall, I found this book a fun, suspenseful, and quick read. I literally laughed at the ending because I was so surprised by it. I will admit that I would love a book two though. This would make a great October/Halloween read.
