A woman discovers the father of the child she is nannying may be her biggest (Only)Fan in this steamy contemporary romance by Lana Ferguson. Suddenly unemployed and on the brink of eviction, Cassie Evans is left with two choices- get a new job (and fast) or fire up her long-untouched OnlyFans account. But the job market is terrible, and as for OnlyFans. . . . Well, there are reasons she can't go back. Just when all hope seems lost, an ad for a live-in nanny position seems like the solution to all her problems. It's almost too perfectuntil she meets her would-be employer. Aiden Reid, executive chef and DILF extraordinaire, is far from the stuffy single dad Cassie was imagining. He shocks her when he tells her she's the most qualified applicant he's met in weeks, practically begging her to take the job. With hands that make her hindbrain howl and eyes that scream sex, the idea of living under the same roof as Aiden feels dangerous, but with no other option, she decides to stay with him and his adorably tenacious daughter, Sophie. Cassie soon discovers that Aiden is not a stranger at all, but instead someone who is very familiar with heror at least, her body. Given that he doesn't remember her, Cassie is faced with what feels like an impossible situation.

highly entertaining and intensely spicy

Lara Ferguson's debut, "The Nanny," delivers a highly entertaining and intensely spicy rom-com with a unique premise: a nanny discovers her single-dad employer is her former OnlyFans subscriber. The initial setup is irresistible, and Ferguson's engaging writing style, combined with forced proximity and palpable sexual tension, immediately drew me in. Cassie, the heroine, is a standout character, making the story a quick and enjoyable read. However, while the lust between Cassie and Aiden is undeniable, the book falls short in developing a deeper emotional connection. Despite its length, the narrative primarily focuses on physical intimacy and parenting, leaving little room for meaningful conversations or emotional growth. I yearned for moments where they truly connected on a deeper level, beyond the bedroom. This lack of emotional depth prevented the book from reaching its full potential. The inclusion of flashbacks to their online relationship adds an intriguing layer, highlighting Aiden's vulnerability and loneliness. However, I felt the story would have been more impactful if their emotional connection in the present preceded their intense physical relationship. Aiden's struggles as a single father and his strained relationships offered ample opportunity for deeper exploration, which unfortunately was not fully realized. Despite these shortcomings, "The Nanny" remains a fun, feel-good read with plenty of heat. The lighthearted tone and intense chemistry between the characters are undeniable strengths. The audiobook is exceptionally well-produced. Samantha Summers delivers a vibrant and bubbly performance that perfectly captures Cassie's personality, though her distinctive style might not appeal to everyone. Jameson Adams's narration is solid, though occasionally a bit stilted. The audio's explicit content makes it unsuitable for public listening, but it's perfect for a private, indulgent experience.

Such an amazing read!!

Let me start by saying this is not my go genre. This is the second romance novel I’ve read and I must say I was sad when it ended. I’m jealous of the readers who get to read this for the first time. The chemistry between Aiden and Cassie is clumsy, sweet and funny and the way the author writes is like watching a REAL quirky relationship unfold. Because of this book I’ll be continuing to read this genre. Absolute lovely read! It is *chef’s kiss* pun intended :)

Ehh.

liked the concept but I found myself skimming through a lot of the book and looking to just read the dialogue. I didn’t feel the chemistry between the two characters and when the secret was reveled it felt like it was just skimmed over like it wasn’t a big deal. The best thing about the book for me was the relationship between Cassie & Wanda because it made me chuckle. Sophie was also adorable.

A near-perfect high-heat second-chance romance

REVIEW ⚠️cw: grief, child neglect⚠️ Unemployed and about to be evicted, Cassie Evans has two choices: revive her long-abandoned OnlyFans account or find a job yesterday. So when a live-in nanny position becomes available, it seems like the answer to all her problems. Executive Chef and single father Aiden Reid is desperate for help with his daughter. Neither realises at first that they already have history, despite their instant attraction. So what happens once they discover they've met before, behind the anonymity of a computer monitor? I loved the concept of this story from the second I saw it online, and couldn't wait for it to come to the UK, so I grabbed a copy while I was in New York, along with plenty of Peach Tea Snapple.  Phew! It did not disappoint. Yes, it's a steamy read, but it's also a sweet story of found family and second chances. I loved Cassie from the start, particularly when she was with Wanda and at her most vulnerable with Aiden. I found her rapport with Sophie really sweet, and the intimate scenes with Aiden sizzled. Aiden was sexy but also adorable, and I loved how fallible he was. I particularly loved the flashbacks to their messages, which added an extra dimension to their history, especially towards the end. Did I mention how hot this book was?  *fans self* The supporting characters felt authentic, and I include Iris (who I actually empathised with for the most part). I adored Wanda. Her one-liners were hilarious, and I loved her relationship with both Cassie and Sophie. I was relieved that the conflict wasn't drawn out too much, although it frustrated me a tiny bit how long it took for Cassie to speak to Aiden.  This was a near-perfect high-heat second-chance romance. (The Nanny is released in the UK on 6th August)

Single Dad, Nanny/Boss, SPICY,AMAZING

Down on her luck with no job, having trouble paying her bills, Cassie Evans needed to find a new job and stat! I mean she could have rebooted her OnlyFans account, but Cassie put that behind her as she was done with that. As luck would have it, she found the perfect job that would give her flexibility with her graduate school studies, and a place to live since that job would be as a live-in nanny for Aiden Reid’s daughter. Aiden Reid was a single dad juggling the responsibility of raising his daughter, Sophie and being executive chef at a well known restaurant. Finding Cassie’s resume and her qualifications was the perfect fit for being Sophie’s nanny, and truthfully Aiden needed all the help he could get. This story had all the great tropes and more you could want from, single dad, nanny/ boss dynamic, forced proximity (Cassie living in Aiden’s home), lighthearted humor, lovable characters, and my goodness spice galore! Lana Ferguson’s debut novel was a breathe of fresh air and immediately a shot of serotonin to brighten my day! Cassie use to do OnlyFans, but due to some unknown reasons she deactivated her account, and left it all behind her. Now, with her new job of being a live-in nanny to Aiden’s daughter, Cassie was starting a new chapter in her life. Little did Cassie know that her past would come up in the most unexpected ways. Even before reading this book, the idea of Cassie being a former OnlyFans creator to then becoming a nanny was so interesting to me, especially with the fact that Aiden (her boss) use to be her top subscriber! OMG! I mean, you can’t tell me that the premise of this book doesn’t leave you a little (more like A LOT) curious to see how all that would unfold. As Cassie started getting into the routine of being a nanny to Sophie, she was juggling the responsibilities of school as well, but also fighting off the attraction she had towards Aiden. Aiden was off limits to her, but she couldn’t deny that she felt something towards the hard working single dad. The moment when Cassie found out that Aiden was her mysterious top subscriber had her in a tailspin because, THIS WAS THE MAN WHO REGULARLY WATCHED HER ONLINE GIVING HIM PRIVATE SHOWS!!! OMG OMG OMG! Among Cassie assuming her new role as a nanny, I really loved the relationship she formed with Sophie. Sophie was initially hesitant and wary of Cassie, but through Cassie’s kind ways, she was able to get Sophie to open out and find comfort in someone. Sophie seemed like a great kid, and the way she was feeling with her dad always working, she felt like she didn’t have any one to open up to, but thankfully with Cassie, she found a friend in her which was really heart warming to see. Even early on in the story, it was evident that Cassie cared a lot about Sophie, as well as Aiden, and their overall wellbeing. Cassie might have taken on the job of being a nanny as a way of rescuing herself from financial burdens, but she found herself growing close to both Sophie and Aiden. Aiden was such an amazing and caring person especially when it came to caring for Sophie. I’ve come to the conclusion that I throughly love single dad books, and Aiden is among the top of those that I’ve read about that I really REALLY LOVED! Plus Aiden is officially at the top of my book boyfriend list because, THAT MAN CAN GET IT! WOO! Also he was such a sweetheart. Aiden struggled trying to maintain an equal balance between his career as a chef, and being there for Sophie, but he gave it his all no matter what. At times, Aiden would feel like he wasn’t doing enough of a good job when it came to Sophie, but hearing from Cassie’s perspective, he was able to see that just how much Sophie truly adored her dad, and all that he did for her. I can only imagine how tough it is to single parent, in top of working full time, but Aiden was always thinking of Sophie, and wanting to ensure she had a stable home, and lots of love. My goodness, the cute cover strikes again! Don’t be deceived by this seemingly adorable book cover because, the spice in this book had me feeling HOT! Aiden was all sweet, and sometimes shy especially around Cassie, but the dirty mouth that man had OMG! SO SEXY! Aiden kinda lived up to the whole, it’s always the quiet ones haha Jk but for real Aiden was all about being vocal with Cassie during their sexy times. Not to mention the praises he would give Cassie to the beloved saying… “good girl”! YASSSSS! Something about the way when Aiden and Cassie got intimate just flip the downright dirty switch in Aiden because, even he was like caught off guard by the dirty stuff he was telling Cassie, but also, he was obsessed with her so he was just enjoying the whole thing! The spice just kept getting better and steamier throughout the rest of the chapters were I was like, “alright time to buckle up for more spicy scenes woo!” Aiden and Cassie’s chemistry was steamy, passionate, and had an underlying depth of how much they truly cared for one another. The sex positivity in this book was chef’s kiss! I love the way that Lana wrote this story and she wrote Cassie and Aiden’s sex scenes were not only super hot, but also illustrating the raw, beautiful desire between them. Lana, girl you did such an amazing job creating these spicy scenes but also embedding the sweetness and lightheartedness between Cassie and Aiden! WOW! I’M SMILING! FEELING FANTASTIC! AND ON TOP OF THE WORLD! WOO! Lana, you knocked this book out of the park! I’m seriously so happy that I read this book! This was a book I randomly picked up, and had heard some people mention in passing, and it was the best decision I ever made! Cassie was a strong character who I absolutely loved! She was sweet, caring, and went above and beyond for Aiden and Sophie! I liked reading about Cassie’s journey in her graduate studies, and seeing her put in the work to achieve her dream of becoming an occupational therapist. Aiden, my goodness, the way that this man had me mesmerized, enthralled, swooning, and downright gasping at both the dirty and sweet things he said, (sigh) top of the book boyfriend list, better yet, Aiden Reid is officially the man of my dreams! Sophie was a sassy and funny kid that added so much more lightheartedness to the story, and I loved her bluntness throughout the book haha. I knew there was going to be spice, but OH MY GOODNESS! PHEW! Chef’s kisses all around! Phenomenal spice! Thank you Lana! I also loved the sec positivity in this book which you could totally see highlighted throughout the book. Lana did a fantastic job of adding a fun twist to a well loved trope of nanny/boss trope, and it was so much fun to read! Another book to add to the list of stories and characters I will never stop thinking about nor will I shut up about. I loved the overall plot, the build up of tension between Cassie and Aiden, as well as duh the freaking hot, spicy, steamy scenes! Cassie and Aiden were so amazing, I loved them both dearly! The ending really came full circle in bringing Aiden and Cassie’s story to an end, and with the epilogue it was just more happiness that made my day brighter. I highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!
