Not stable when sat in

I loved these stools when I first saw them and still like the look of them. Unfortunately, they are unstable when a person sits in them. The moment someone makes any movement beyond the most subtle shift, the chair wants to tip over. I made the mistake of discarding the packaging after assembly and returning them would be more trouble than it's worth so I am stuck with them and still need to find replacement stools. Do not make the same mistake, avoid.
