Terrible quality control

I have had a previous version of this griddle that was well loved and lasted without issue for 20 years, but it was time to upgrade to a newer (less toxic) model. In reading reviews across the internet I noticed a pattern of complaints regarding the non-stick coating on the griddle cook surface arriving flawed and uneven, but took a chance and ordered one anyway. To my disappointment, the griddle arrived just as described in those reviews; the griddle surface (both sides) were a mess with scratches, uneven application of the coating and raised areas that flaked off. Never again with this brand ... Boxed it up and returned to vendor immediately. It's really unfortunate because the previous version I had was outstanding quality.

Wish this was nontoxic

I love this grill and had mine for years, but really wished they would come up with a nontoxic coating. Doesn't look like they have improved that. The concept is there, just update your technology :)
