The Beauty of Names Reflected

Beautifully written to showcase the uniqueness of names from different cultures. This is more than a picture book but a lesson on acceptance and embracing of differences that make each child special.

Beautiful, loving, affirming

Your Name is a Song is a lushly written, beautifully illustrated, affirming picture book for children. Not to mention a healing one for adults who have experienced name shaming throughout their lives. A must have for both classroom and home libraries!

Magical and breathtaking book!

Between the poetic writing and the breathtaking art, this book is one of our favorite books of all time. My children love hearing it, and have enjoyed learning how to pronounce some new-to-them name along with the author (there's a link listed in the back of the book that takes you to a video of her pronouncing each of the beautiful names in the book). A MUST HAVE for all families, teachers, and caregivers!
